Kitchen Bar is one of my all-time favorite spots in the city—ideal for any time of the day and any season, and loved equally by locals and visitors.

When hosting someone new to Thessaloniki, this is always one of the first places to take them. It combines an incredible view of the seafront with a central location, far enough from street noise to feel like an escape. The menu offers a wide variety of options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, though it’s just as great if you’re dropping by simply for a coffee or a drink.

Housed in a restored old warehouse at the port (Warehouse B), the historic building itself adds unique character. From here, you can gaze out over the waterfront, the White Tower, and the eastern side of the city. It’s also a favorite gathering point during the International Film Festival, so if you’re visiting during that time, finding a table can be a challenge despite its spacious interior! During Christmas, the high ceiling lights up in red, creating a wonderful festive atmosphere.

Personal Favorite: Don’t miss the Toscani salad—a fresh green salad served inside a crispy parmesan crust basket!
